A winch-out is the job for when your vehicle is off the road and can’t get itself back on: you slid off a wet shoulder on Green Level Church Road, backed into a soft yard, dropped a wheel off the edge of a gravel drive, got high-centered on a curb at Crossroads, or found out the hard way that the grass next to the Cary Parkway greenway doesn’t hold a car after three days of rain.
